Fiber services available to 253 more homes and businesses in Wenatchee

Fiber-optic construction is complete to an additional 253 Wenatchee homes and businesses. These residents are now ready to receive services through authorized service providers over Chelan County PUD’s fiber-optic network.  Services include telephone and high-speed Internet, with television planned for later this year.

The 253 homes and businesses with new fiber network accessibility are in the areas:

Services over the fiber network in these areas are available by placing a Fiber Connection Request with an authorized service provider.  For a complete list of service providers, visit www.chelanpud.org/fiber or call 661-4151.

Fiber-optic lines use a hair-thin filament of glass to carry pulses of light to transmit telephone, high-speed Internet access and television.  Chelan County PUD’s fiber carries all services over one single fiber, providing the convenience of one local contact, one bill and savings on bundled services.

Chelan County PUD is building a wholesale fiber-optic network to homes and business in Chelan County. More than 9,000 fiber drops have been constructed to homes, businesses, schools, hospitals and government offices.  These residents now have an affordable choice for high-speed Internet and telephone services, with television coming in later this year.
