General Manager Rich Riazzi will report to the community in a public meeting designed to keep people up to date on the latest PUD financial outlook for 2009. The meeting will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, in the Headquarters Auditorium.

PUD commissioners set the strategic direction for the District and rely on the gneral manager to put it into action. They hold public meetings at 11 a.m. every Monday and welcome comments from customer-owners.

Save energy. Save money. Go Lightly.

Chelan County residents can pick up a free compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) and enjoy a night of Wenatchee Wild hockey at 7 p.m. on Jan. 28 at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee. Chelan County PUD is sponsoring the game to remind customers of ways to save energy and save money. One way to do that is by installing compact fluorescent light bulbs, which use 75 percent less energy than standard incandescent bulbs. Get your tickets here. We hope to see you at the game!


PUD announces cost-saving changes that will trim jobs

Chelan County PUD last week told employees that it plans to reduce 10 jobs at its hydroelectric projects by reorganizing shift work by chief operators, senior operators, rotating wiremen and rotating mechanics. Read the news release.
