PUD asks for new trial in Gordon Graham case

Chelan County PUD
News Release
3/12/2009

After meeting in executive session Thursday afternoon to discuss legal issues as allowed under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) and after the Board returned to open session, General Counsel Carol Wardell requested that commissioners authorize the filing of a motion for a new trial in the Gordon Graham wrongful termination case due to alleged jury misconduct.

PUD commissioners authorized legal counsel to file a motion with a 4 – 0 vote on the action. Commissioner Dennis Bolz recused himself from the executive session and did not vote on the action.

Wardell said the motion would be filed in Chelan County Superior Court Thursday afternoon.

Graham was the PUD’s former Information Technology director.
