PUD plans sale of surplus items on May 14

Chelan County PUD will hold a public auction of surplus vehicles, equipment and office furniture starting at 10:30 a.m. on May 14 at Rocky Reach Dam.

The surplus sale is a cost-effective way for the PUD to make items that are no longer used available to the public, while recovering fair value, said Greg Jones, PUD facilities manager and acting fleet manager.

Jones will be at the auction to answer questions about the items.

Items declared surplus to District needs, including more than more than 40 vehicles - from passenger cars to bucket trucks to heavy equipment and boats - will be sold. Chuck Yarbro Auctioneers of Moses Lake will conduct the sale.

Potential bidders can preview all the items from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on May 13 at Rocky Reach.

Bids on the vehicles can be made in person or online at www.chuckyarbro.com. Real-time online bidding will start about 11 a.m. on May 14, or bidders can put in bids by proxy. The Yarbro Web site has pictures and information about each vehicle.
