Outage planned for Eagle Creek Canyon on Thursday
Chelan County PUD
News Release
7/28/2009
Repairs to an underground power line serving Chelan County PUD customers living on Eagle Creek Road, northeast of Leavenworth, will require a power outage from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 30.
The outage will affect people living a quarter-mile up from the intersection with the Chumstick Highway to the end of the line, about 130 customers.
The repairs are needed after damage was discovered following a power outage in the area Tuesday morning. Crews were able to switch load temporarily to other lines but want to get it fixed before other problems are caused by heavy power use as the heat wave continues, said Randy Noland, PUD electrical superintendent.
Crews will do all they can to restore power to Eagle Creek customers on Thursday as safely and quickly as possible, Noland said.
