Rocky Reach Visitor Center closes for the season on Oct. 31

Nearly 50,000 people visited Rocky Reach Dam and Visitor Center this year, which closes for the season at 4 p.m. on Oct. 31. The center will reopen for the 2010 season at 9 a.m. on March 20, 2010, offering free powerhouse tours, exhibits in the Museum of the Columbia, art displays and fish viewing.

To reserve a Rocky Reach park shelter for the 2010 season, contact Shani Nadeau at (509) 663-7522 after Jan. 2, 2010. To schedule a tour of Rocky Reach Dam contact Debbie Gallaher at (509) 661-4960, or go to www.chelanpud.org and search for “Visitor Center tour request.”
