Your PUD
Dock Permit Policy
Chelan County PUD is looking at the issue of dock permits for the few parcels along the Rocky Reach reservoir and Lake Chelan that may involve District-owned land. The PUD is considering whether to stop granting permits for waterfront docks on PUD-owned land. This proposal would NOT affect property owners who own all their waterfront property where a dock may be proposed, even though the PUD has a flowage easement. Approximately 93 percent of the Rocky Reach shoreline is privately owned and would not be affected. Only about 2 percent of shoreline around Lake Chelan would be affected.

This issue will be discussed by Chelan County PUD commissioners at 1:30 p.m. on April 7, 2008. Initial consideration (as noted in the news release of Feb. 11, 2008) included consideration of land around the Rock Island reservoir, but those lands are not included in the latest proposal.
