Integrated Resource Plan
IRP
Chelan County PUD has written an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) as required by state law, RCW 19.280. The plan outlines the sources of power needed to supply PUD customers through 2018. It describes the mix of resources from generation, conservation and efficiency that will meet current and projected needs at the lowest reasonable cost and risk to the utility and its customer-owners. PUD commissioners held several public meetings to consider aspects of the plan and listen to public comment. The plan was approved in August 2008. There will be a progress report every two years and an update to the plan every four years.
