Project Close-Ups
Since delivering its first power in 1947 to 10 customers in Antoine and Washington Creeks near Lake Chelan, Chelan County PUD has been planning, building and cooperating to deliver services and manage resources.
Throughout the PUD's history, construction projects have included Rocky Reach Dam and the second powerhouse at Rock Island Dam. More recent accomplishments include a one-of-a-kind fish bypass system at Rocky Reach and pioneering efforts in monitoring migrating fish.
District projects also include cooperative efforts with other agencies, informational programs and ongoing research and study.
Construction projects are readily visible to the community; research projects often are not. We will post reports on both kinds to take you inside the workings of Chelan County PUD.
