Environmental Stewardship

Chelan County PUD offers low-interest loans to cover the costs of approved weatherization measures such as adding insulation and replacing windows and doors. The homeowner obtains competitive bids from weatherization installers, the PUD loans money for the weatherization at below-market interest rates and inspects the work upon completion. Homes qualify only if their primary heat source is electric. The interest rate is 5.75 percent.
