Closure of the Orondo Avenue Boat Launch in Wenatchee Riverfront Park for public use is likely beginning at midnight on Monday, Sept. 8, until midnight Thursday, Sept. 10. The contractor for the new Day Use Moorage Facility is planning to use the existing launch area for mobilization and staging of equipment necessary for the new dock construction. Further closures are expected during the project which is expected to last through the end of October. The city of Wenatchee and Redside construction apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to boaters and all efforts will be made to minimize impacts to the existing launch during the project. Closure notices will be posted at the boat launch. There are alternate launches available at Wenatchee Confluence State Park and Kirby Billingsley Hydro Park.
