When will I get my new meter?

Please check the INSTALLATION SCHEDULE to see what month we'll be in your area. 


Will you notify me before you're in my area?

Yes – we will send you two mailers. The first will arrive about two months before your installation and another about a month ahead.

Who will install my new meter?

National Metering & Technical Services, LLC, the PUD’s certified and approved contractor, will arrive at your home or business with clothing, badging and vehicles marked as PUD Contractor.

What to expect on the Day of Installation?


Do I need to be home when the new meter is installed?

No - when the installer arrives at your home or business, we'll knock on the door to alert you we're installing your new meter. If we miss you, we'll leave a door hanger once the work is complete.

Will there be a power outage when my new meter is installed?

Yes – The installation may result in a short power outage power outage of just a few minutes.

On the day of your installation:

  • We need access to your meter
  • We prefer you are reachable by phone

If any of the following apply to you, please request an installation appointment:

  • Your meter is behind a locked gate
  • You keep a dog in the yard
  • You must be on site to provide access to the meter
  • You will be unreachable by phone (out of the country) during your installation window


When and where are the installer working right now?

Please see the INSTALLATION SCHEDULE to see when and where the installers are working.

Installers are currently working Monday through Thursday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

If you need to confirm the installer was at your home or business, please call 509-661-4325 Option #2, Mon.-Fri. 8am-5pm.
