Drivers can expect flagger-controlled traffic starting Wednesday along State Route 97A near the Dan Gordon Bridge in Chelan.
The Washington State Department of Transportation will conduct traffic control while a crew from Chelan PUD will prune a few trees in Riverwalk Park away from the highway to allow better clearance for tall vehicles.
The PUD will also remove a hazardous tree that is encroaching on a crosswalk between the Riverwalk Trail and State Route 97A. Pedestrians should expect periodic trail closures.
The work is scheduled to begin around 9 a.m. Jan. 10, and may continue into the following day. The dates are tentative based on weather conditions.
